Description: 
River Blenders Chorus, affiliated with Sweet Adelines International, will hold our annual SING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS CONTEST during our Fall Show, Saturday, Oct 18, 2025 in the theater at the Chesterfield YMCA.

Student Application
- All students who are entering grades 6 – 12 in the 2025 - 2026 school year and are under 18 years old on October 18, 2025, are eligible to submit an application to audition.
- The first twenty (20) eligible students who submit an application through our website, riverblenders.org/SFS, will be invited to audition and sing one song, either acapella or accompanied by a pre-recorded track.
- Auditions will be held on two Monday evenings, July 21 and July 28, 2025 at St. Martin’s Church in Ellisville, MO, in front of the chorus members. We will select five (5) finalists based on vocal skills and performance ability.
Finals
Dress Rehearsal: Friday Evening, October 17, 2025
Finals Competition: Saturday Afternoon, October 18, 2025
- Finalists will perform in front of a LIVE audience and compete for cash prizes during the River Blenders’ Show at the Chesterfield YMCA Auditorium on October 18, 2025.
- There will be a dress rehearsal Friday evening, October 17, which will provide finalists a chance to become comfortable with their place in the show, the theater and the acoustics.
- Additional details will be provided to the finalists once they are selected.
- The winner will be determined by a vote after all five competitors have performed.
- Results will be announced at the show.
- A cash prize will be awarded to each contestant.
- In case of cancellation of the event, the purse will be divided evenly among the five contestants.
